Nail Art || Stripes

Hello! Another manicure from days ago and I believe I have a few more coming that are from days before :P But the other week I decided I had to do more than just slap on a coat of polish and go to work. I decided it was time to get out my striping tape and get taping!

I don't know how I came up with this color combination, but I liked it. The blue looks less dark than it actually was. You could actually barely tell the difference between the black and blue. Over the black I just had to put on Fairy Dust, since it makes every manicure better. Over the pink/purple I put on Kleancolor Chunky Holo Fuchsia.

As you can see I do not really master the tape as you can see on my pinky finger. Of course I applied a layer of topcoat after the tape, but sadly the next day the tape came off :( But I had fun for as long as it lasted :P

The blue polish is a blue polish from Hema, the black is just Black from Color Club, topped with China Glaze Fairy Dust. The pink/purple is Purple Crush from Orly.

I hope you're having a great weekend and I'll see you next time! :)

Thank you for reading!

Gradient || Orange To Pink

By accident I just found this gradient I did months ago! June 15th to be exact :P The only thing I remember from this manicure is that I was really proud of it and I wore it for days!

To be honest I have no idea what polishes I used... Looking at the spilled polish on the bottle I think this is Sugar High...

I wanted to see this gradient in a matte version and really liked that too. I have no idea what topcoat I used, but there are a lot of topcoats with this finish :)

I hope you liked my first real post after this long :)

New Frankenpolishes

Yesterday I randomly decided to create a polish. While working on it I made 4 instead of 1 :P A few weeks ago there was a Dutch tv host wearing green jeans that looked so glowing. And I was like; I want a polish in that color! A week later she was wearing another jeans in orange, but it seemed from the same brand. Also never seen that color in a polish. So here are my Frankens.

This first one is a neon bubblegum pink. But I decided to name it Hot Flamingo :P I'm not good with how much I used of what polish, but it was about 3/5 Catrice Sweets For My Sweets, 1/5 China Glaze Shocking Pink and 1/5 Color Club Warhol. This is 2 coats and no topcoat.

This second one looks so much nicer in real life. It's lighter and looks glowing. I named this one Dancing On The Sun. It was half a bottle of Catrice Snow and I randomly put in China Glaze Sun Worshiper and China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. I really love this one! This is 3 coats and no topcoat.

This 3rd one is my favorite and on Instagram it got a lot of likes :) I named it Don't Call Me Apple. Just like Dancing On The Sun it's really glowing and so pretty! I used half a bottle of China Glaze Snow and put in China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, China Glaze Sun Worshiper and Color Club Twiggie. This is 2 coats and no topcoat.

This last one isn't really what I hoped it would be, but I still like it, since I have nothing like it. Seriously. I named it As High As A Cloud. It's a beautiful sky blue. I used Rimmel London Sky High, Color Club Age Of Aquarius and another Color Club that I can't remember. This is 2 coats and no topcoat.

I hope to be frankening soon again, because I really like these!

What do you think of these and which one is your favorite? :)

China Glaze - Love's A Beach

I'm showing you Love's A Beach from China Glaze's Summer Neons collection. I wasn't really liking the polishes because of the shimmers, but I decided to get some of them anyway. LOVE them! This picture is taken after a day of wear so I'm sorry for the tipwear.

Love's A Beach is a neon pink and opaque in just 1 coat. It has a nice shimmer in it, but it's not purple like the picture shows. It's more of a light pink shimmer. The wear time of this is great too, because I wore it for 2,5 days and no chips, while my polish usually chips really quick.

Tropical Gradient

A few weeks ago it was very hot in the country. As much as I hate hot weather, I do like that I can wear my bright polishes. I first wanted to make rainbow nails, but I didn't have the right color green, so I went for this tropical gradient.

I started with 2 coats of a white polish to make the neons pop even more. With a make-up sponge I made the gradient. For the pink I either used Color Club Warhol OR China Glaze Pool Party, for the orange Color Club Wham! Pow! and for the yellow Color Club Almost Famous.

Sadly, this blurry picture was the best my camera could get. If you have these polishes yourself you should definitely try this one out to see how awesome it looks in real life :)

Blue Ombre Nails

Today I have another blue manicure for you. I did a blue ombre today, because I had to go somewhere quickly today, so went for this simple thing. I've done blue ombre nails once before, I've done a pink ombre once before and I've done ombre paint drips.

From pinky to thumb I used Color Club Chelsea Girl, Sinful Colors Why Not?, Orly Blue Collar, China Glaze Bahamian Escape and Essie Borrowed & Blue.

Chelsea Girl is pretty much the same as China Glaze Ride The Waves. It felt like 3/4 jelly and 1/4 creme :P If you had to pick between these two colors go for Ride The Waves. Here I used 3 coats of Chelsea Girl and it's still not opaque.

Jelly Sandwich - Blue Waves

Well hello blog world. I haven't seen you in a while. Well, you haven't seen me for a while. Just busy, doing my thing. But, I have a week off now and I hope that one thing I'll be doing this week is blogging. Or at least try to make mani's for my blog :)

So today I'm back with a Jelly Sandwich! I love to do these, even though I don't have a lot of jelly polishes. I added a new jelly to my collection this week and decided a Jelly Sandwich had to be made.

I'm wearing 2 coats of China Glaze Ride The Waves from the Summer Neons collection. A royal blue jelly. Then I went over with one coat of Essence Blue Addicted and another coat of Ride The Waves. The sandwich is completed! :)

What do you think of this Jelly Sandwich? Let me know!

Glitter Gal - Silver

I feel like saying 'yo', so here I go; Yo! How are you doing today? I'm exhausted and I feel like it's Thursday... How can a day feel like a specific day?

Anyway, as you can see no Catrice today :O I made a few swatches the other day and only had one left to post today. I kept thinking; Which one is this? And then I realized it was Pool Party At Night... xD

So here is Glitter Gal Silver. Not really a great name, but it IS such an amazing polish! It's the most holographic thing I've ever seen. When deciding on which Glitter Gal I would get I decided to go for this one, because I thought it might work as a nice holographic topcoat. It's not a nice topcoat. It's to streaky to add a coat over a polish and when you apply 2 coats you don't see the polish color anymore.

On the pictures I added 2 coats of Silver over 2 coats of Something Sweet from China Glaze.

My mom really likes this one too and she wants me to order a bottle for her too. I bought it at enchantra.com for € 8,96 which was with a 25% discount. Usually they're € 11,95, which is pretty expensive, but I think it's really worth it :)

Pastel Rainbow Nails

Hello today! :) Sorry for neglecting my blog. I got a new phone the other day and I've been playing with it a lot! I love it!

Today I'm showing you my pastel rainbow nails. I did this 6 days ago to wear it on Monday, but in the morning I decided I didn't want it. So I had to do my nails really quick :P Just because I didn't wore it out to work doesn't mean I don't like it. I really do like it!

I used 6 colors, but I think that was 1 too many. Also the green that I used didn't really fit the other pastels. It was kind of a dirty green. For the image I used Konad image plate m57 again, which is obviously my favorite ;p

I have a question for you now. Would you like a Catrice swatch month? I have so many Catrice polishes that I haven't shown here yet. The month isn't going to be filled with just swatches of course :P Just let me know down below.

Thanks for reading :)

Abstract Nails

I guess they're not really that abstract, but I needed to name this post xD Not everything I show here is worn in real life too. Just because I didn't want to wear it to work I guess. Now I thought I should just do it! And I did.

I'm happy I wore it to work, because I got many compliments :) People asked me where I got it done (right here in my bedroom!) or how I did it or if they were stickers. So yeah, I'm happy and convinced I need to wear more things like this on my nails.

I think you might know how I did it, but if you don't follow me; 2 coats of Blushing Rose from Color Club. Then I sponged China Glaze Laced Up over it and on some places I sponged Blushing Rose over it. I applied a coat of Seché Vite and after that I used an image on Konad plate m57 to stamp on my nails. Topcoat it, and that's it! :)

And if this looks familiar to you, check these Valentine's nails :)

Nail Polish Storage

I've seen a lot of different ways to storage your nail polish. I thought I found mine, but my collection is growing so much that it didn't fit anymore.

Before I show you, I have a very unorganized way of storing my polishes. The reason; I have the smallest bedroom in the world. My bed barely fits in it and I don't even have a closet. I only have place to store under my bed and on my wall.

Months ago I got these things. I don't know what to call them. They're supposed to hang on the wall and place pictures and what not on them. They're perfect for nail polish, so that's what I use them for. They have smaller ones too and I hope to get more of these someday.

And yesterday I bought this plastic storage box. I don't know the size of it, but it's full now. It might look very messy, which it is, but for me it's easy. I get it from under my bed, put it on my bed and I can find colors so much more easier than I did before. I kept them in a smaller plastic black basket. I couldn't see a thing! :P

Yesterday I also counted all my polishes and counted 278 I believe. I was hoping I was over 300 already xD I gave away a few to my mom and some might leave my collection, so the number isn't right. I didn't count top and basecoats and stamping polishes.

I own the most Catrice polishes; 53 :)

Pink Houndstooth manicure

Hellew! I could start with apologizing again for being such a bad blogger, but I think you might have figured out by now. Work has basically taken over, so I'm too lazy to post. In 2 weeks I only have to work 1,5 days (!!!!!) so I guess I'll be posting more by then. Unless I get asked to work for somebody else again and I can't say no....

Anyhow.... Today I want to show you my pink houndstooth manicure. I was thinking about what colors I would use for it, since black and white are always used. So I decided to go with pink and white :)

I started with 2 coats of Snow from China Glaze and I used a baby pink stamping polish. The houndstooth pattern can be found on Konad imageplate m63. Bundle Monster has a plate with the pattern too and it looks 10 times better though :P

Thanks for reading!

Flyin' Clovers

Hello! I'm really sorry for being such a lazy blogger the past few weeks... I've had nails breaking and been super busy at work. But next week is hopefully the last hard week. I probably still won't be able to post a lot, but after Friday I have 4 days off! :D

Today I have a manicure that I didn't know what to name. It's a gradient (that you can't see) with a stamp I don't know what to name ;p

I painted my nails 1 coat of Four Leaf Clover from China Glaze, thanks Jen, and over that I made a gradient with China Glaze Flyin' High. You can't even see it in the picture. They're not really the same color; FLC is green and FH is blue/green and pictures just never really do the job. I also did some sponging with NYX Sea Of Cortez. Of course, in real life it looked a lot better!

I did the stamping with Konad m78 and I used a black stamping polish that isn't really working ;p I think I got a bad polish, because other stamping polishes from that brand have been doing a great job!

Thanks for reading! :)

China Glaze - Sun Worshiper

Hello! I hope you all have a great day! Today I'm showing you another swatch from the polishes Jenn got me. This is China Glaze's Sun Worshiper. This one was on my wishlist too, because I thought I might need it someday for something :P On the pictures I'm also wearing a coat of Finger Paints Flashy.

Sun Worshiper, from the Poolside collection, is a bright neon orange/yellow polish. It dries matte and pretty streaky, but with a topcoat you don't see that. I used 3 coats for opacity and I tell you; this was so hard to capture with my camera! But the picture above is almost color accurate.

I think Sun Worshiper is a pretty unique polish and when you have it on your nails it's really out there! It almost looks like it's giving light or something. I think that looks really cool!

Do you have Sun Worshiper or would you ever wear a color like it? Let me know :)

China Glaze - Snow Globe (over white)

Hello! Happy weekend everybody! Today I'm showing a manicure I had on my nails before adding the dots for Day 11 of my challenge. 2 coats of China Glaze Snow followed by a coat of Snow Globe that I got in a swap.

I find Snow Globe (I keep typing Glove) a very interesting polish/topcoat. Depending on what color polish you wear it, the colored glitter looks different. Here on white you can see pink, blue, yellow, orange, purple and green. Over black you see more blue and green. Over red you will see more orange and yellow.

The colored glitter reminds me of Easter!

I absolutely loved Snow Globe from the first time I wore it and I am thinking about getting a new one, just because I might run out of this one someday :P

I wish I could post more often, but today the nail on my ringfinger ripped on both sides so I have to wait until I can finally clip it off. I have a few more swatch photo's on my laptop though, so until then I think I will post those :)

Day 29: Inspired By The Supernatural

Today's challenge is weird... I had no idea what to do and it just doesn't seem to fit in the other 'Inspired By...' challenges. But when I think of the supernatural I think of ghosts. So here are my spooky nails! :P

From left to right, meet Awkward Ghost, Just For The Lulz Ghost, Hmm... k Ghost and Henry.

I thought flakies would look nice over them, because usually you'll only see them on black, so it looks kinda glowy ;p I only added them on the 4 gentlemen you see here, not on the black around them. This was Golden Rose Scale Effect #13.

I'm almost finished with this challenge! :D If you know some other fun nail challenges like this, let me know :)

Thanks for reading!

Day 28: Inspired By A Flag

I think you can see what flag inspired me; The British Flag! I've always wanted to visit the U.K. The Netherlands and the U.K. are pretty much neighbors with just a little bit of ocean between us :P

I tried my best with the freehand thing and I'm not that good with it, but it was easier than I expected it to be.

Anyway, I think you're dying to know what polishes I used, so here we go;
2 coats of Hema Nailpolish nr. 08
The white is a white stamping polish and the red is Ruby Deer from China Glaze.

Yes, 2 posts today! ;p You can find my post for the 31 Day Challenge here [inspired by artwork] :)

I decided to go for ombre drips. I didn't really know how to make it, so my ring and middle finger are a bit messed up :P

Etos (A pink LE for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month)
Catrice; Aretha's R•E•S•P•I•N•K
China Glaze; Sugar High
Sinful Colors; Beautiful Girl

The silver base color is 2 coats of What A Drag from Color Club.

Day 25: Inspired By Fashion

Day 25! If I didn't take a little break I would've been done yesterday ;p Anyway, fashion. I'm not into fashion at all! It's just not my thing. But I did know what I wanted to do for today's nails.

Ever since I saw Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video there was an outfit I kinda liked. Not for me or any other person, but I liked it. Near the end of the video she's wearing a red outfit with lace in it. That inspired me for these nails.

For my base color I used 3 coats of Color Club Coastal Creme and for my stamping I used a red stamping polish. I used Konad image plates m57 and m65.

On my thumb I used 2 coats of China Glaze Snow and painted the cross on with a brush. Just a little inspiration from the video ;p

I must say that also today I'm pretty happy with the end result :) I hope you liked it too!

Thanks for reading!

Day 24: Inspired By A Book

Can you see what book inspired me? The Rainbow Fish! I have no idea what the book was about; it's too long ago. But when I decided to do Rainbow Fish nails I remembered when I was like 7 we had to make the Rainbow Fish out of pieces of fabric. It was so much fun! I only put glue on the beginning of the fabric, so the pieces would hang loose on my paper. Oh, I was so creative! :P

I had no idea where to begin with these nails, so this tutorial helped me :)

A list of colors that I used;
Color Club; What A Drag!
Catrice; The Pinky And The Brain
Catrice; Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy!
Catrice; Pool Party At Night
China Glaze; For Audrey
Miss Sporty Clubbing Colours; 328
Golden Rose Scale Effect; 04

I hope you liked it! :)
