Queensday Nails

Hello on this lovely day. I hope my fellow Dutchies had a great Queensday. I don't 'celebrate' it, but did go for some orange nails. I didn't wear the following manicure today, but I did wear orange.

I started with a with base color and then applied 3 colors on a sponge and pressed it on my nails. I recently showed you a tutorial on how to do gradient nails, but that's not how I do it anymore. I'm doing it this way now and I find it so much easier!

I went for a gold stamp this time which actually looked good. The orange in these pictures look a lot more red and bright then in real life. But I was very happy with the outcome :)

From the lightest to darkest color I used Catrice Salmon & Garfunkel, Essie Tart Deco, Catrice Pimp My Shrimp and Catrice Fred Said Red. For the gold stamping I used Gold Foil from Diamond Cosmetics and image plate m57.

Pastel Rainbow Nails

Hello today! :) Sorry for neglecting my blog. I got a new phone the other day and I've been playing with it a lot! I love it!

Today I'm showing you my pastel rainbow nails. I did this 6 days ago to wear it on Monday, but in the morning I decided I didn't want it. So I had to do my nails really quick :P Just because I didn't wore it out to work doesn't mean I don't like it. I really do like it!

I used 6 colors, but I think that was 1 too many. Also the green that I used didn't really fit the other pastels. It was kind of a dirty green. For the image I used Konad image plate m57 again, which is obviously my favorite ;p

I have a question for you now. Would you like a Catrice swatch month? I have so many Catrice polishes that I haven't shown here yet. The month isn't going to be filled with just swatches of course :P Just let me know down below.

Thanks for reading :)

Abstract Nails

I guess they're not really that abstract, but I needed to name this post xD Not everything I show here is worn in real life too. Just because I didn't want to wear it to work I guess. Now I thought I should just do it! And I did.

I'm happy I wore it to work, because I got many compliments :) People asked me where I got it done (right here in my bedroom!) or how I did it or if they were stickers. So yeah, I'm happy and convinced I need to wear more things like this on my nails.

I think you might know how I did it, but if you don't follow me; 2 coats of Blushing Rose from Color Club. Then I sponged China Glaze Laced Up over it and on some places I sponged Blushing Rose over it. I applied a coat of Seché Vite and after that I used an image on Konad plate m57 to stamp on my nails. Topcoat it, and that's it! :)

And if this looks familiar to you, check these Valentine's nails :)

Flyin' Clovers

Hello! I'm really sorry for being such a lazy blogger the past few weeks... I've had nails breaking and been super busy at work. But next week is hopefully the last hard week. I probably still won't be able to post a lot, but after Friday I have 4 days off! :D

Today I have a manicure that I didn't know what to name. It's a gradient (that you can't see) with a stamp I don't know what to name ;p

I painted my nails 1 coat of Four Leaf Clover from China Glaze, thanks Jen, and over that I made a gradient with China Glaze Flyin' High. You can't even see it in the picture. They're not really the same color; FLC is green and FH is blue/green and pictures just never really do the job. I also did some sponging with NYX Sea Of Cortez. Of course, in real life it looked a lot better!

I did the stamping with Konad m78 and I used a black stamping polish that isn't really working ;p I think I got a bad polish, because other stamping polishes from that brand have been doing a great job!

Thanks for reading! :)

Day 26: Inspired By A Pattern

For today I didn't really have anything in mind. Since image plates have some nice patterns I decided to go for Konad image plate m60. I didn't want to have just 1 boring background color, so I made a gradient.

My base color is Catrice Apropos Apricot. From the base of my nail (where my cuticles are) I used the following colors;
Essie; Tart Deco
Catrice; Apropos Apricot
Sinful Colors; Beautiful Girl
China Glaze; Sugar High

Then I went for Golden Rose flakies in number 09. I think it really adds something... ;p As mentioned before I used image plate m60 and I used a white stamping polish. A coat of Seche Vite and manicure finished! Super simple :)

Day 19: Galaxies

I was kinda nervous to do the galaxy nails, because I only have to pick 1 wrong color and I can start all over again! But today that wasn't the case. I think I picked the right colors and I'm pretty satisfied with the end result :)

The picture above is from the nail I liked best; my middle finger. You can see most of the base color I used and to me that's more galaxy-like ;p

This last picture is a one from all the polishes I used. From left to right;
Sinful Colors - Frenzy
Essence Multi Dimension - Midnight Rocker (base color)
Catrice - Blues Brother Vol. II
Miss Sporty Clubbing Colors - 330
Orly - Blue Collar
China Glaze - Ahoy!
ELF - Glitter Purple
ELF - Lilac
Essie - East Hampton Cottage

The bottle that's not on the picture is China Glaze's Fairy Dust. I just forgot about it ;p

Day 14: Flowers

I'm actually pretty excited about these flower nails! It reminds me of summer, beach, Hawaii, but also Bikini Bottom :P

I'm really not the person for freehand stuff, even though I do have to show my skills soon, so of course I stamped away! Again I used Konad image plate m57. Probably my favorite plate. I do have other plates with flowers, but these flowers were exactly what I needed.

For these nails I started off with 2 coats of Coastal Creme from Color Club. When that dried I sponged over it with Mint Cream from ELF for a gradient effect. Then I applied an O.P.I. topcoat. For the pink flowers I used Beautiful Girl from Sinful Colors and Sugar High from China Glaze. I didn't use a topcoat afterwards.

Day 10: Gradient Nails

Gradient nails! I always love gradients, but I never really know where to begin. Then I just want to combine so many colors and it never turns out how I want it.

Today's nails were made not too long before this post. I used a polish from the new Catrice collection named Welcome To Roosywood, an old pink color. Depending on the lightning it can look like an old pink, but it can also look like a brick color.

To keep it simple I used Candy Cane from Color Club. An amazing pink glitter polish! Probably my favorite! It has two different colors of pink glitter in it, some purple glitter and holographic glitter. Just amazing! This polish will also look amazing on it's own. I never did, because glitter is not made for my nails I guess :P

This is the end of the first part from the 31 day challenge. I'm excited for the patterns! :D

Valentine Nails; Hearts

Hello! I hope you've seen my earlier post of the day which is day 2 of the 31 day challenge. Since I do want to show some mani's for Valentine's Day, I will post twice a day the upcoming weeks until Valentine's Day.

I really like this mani. Not only because it's pink, but also because of the randomly done sponging. I first wanted to stamp the hearts in black, but the stamping polish I had didn't really work so well. So I choose white instead, which might be nicer anyway.
