Queensday Nails

Hello on this lovely day. I hope my fellow Dutchies had a great Queensday. I don't 'celebrate' it, but did go for some orange nails. I didn't wear the following manicure today, but I did wear orange.

I started with a with base color and then applied 3 colors on a sponge and pressed it on my nails. I recently showed you a tutorial on how to do gradient nails, but that's not how I do it anymore. I'm doing it this way now and I find it so much easier!

I went for a gold stamp this time which actually looked good. The orange in these pictures look a lot more red and bright then in real life. But I was very happy with the outcome :)

From the lightest to darkest color I used Catrice Salmon & Garfunkel, Essie Tart Deco, Catrice Pimp My Shrimp and Catrice Fred Said Red. For the gold stamping I used Gold Foil from Diamond Cosmetics and image plate m57.

Pastel Rainbow Nails

Hello today! :) Sorry for neglecting my blog. I got a new phone the other day and I've been playing with it a lot! I love it!

Today I'm showing you my pastel rainbow nails. I did this 6 days ago to wear it on Monday, but in the morning I decided I didn't want it. So I had to do my nails really quick :P Just because I didn't wore it out to work doesn't mean I don't like it. I really do like it!

I used 6 colors, but I think that was 1 too many. Also the green that I used didn't really fit the other pastels. It was kind of a dirty green. For the image I used Konad image plate m57 again, which is obviously my favorite ;p

I have a question for you now. Would you like a Catrice swatch month? I have so many Catrice polishes that I haven't shown here yet. The month isn't going to be filled with just swatches of course :P Just let me know down below.

Thanks for reading :)

Abstract Nails

I guess they're not really that abstract, but I needed to name this post xD Not everything I show here is worn in real life too. Just because I didn't want to wear it to work I guess. Now I thought I should just do it! And I did.

I'm happy I wore it to work, because I got many compliments :) People asked me where I got it done (right here in my bedroom!) or how I did it or if they were stickers. So yeah, I'm happy and convinced I need to wear more things like this on my nails.

I think you might know how I did it, but if you don't follow me; 2 coats of Blushing Rose from Color Club. Then I sponged China Glaze Laced Up over it and on some places I sponged Blushing Rose over it. I applied a coat of Seché Vite and after that I used an image on Konad plate m57 to stamp on my nails. Topcoat it, and that's it! :)

And if this looks familiar to you, check these Valentine's nails :)

Day 25: Inspired By Fashion

Day 25! If I didn't take a little break I would've been done yesterday ;p Anyway, fashion. I'm not into fashion at all! It's just not my thing. But I did know what I wanted to do for today's nails.

Ever since I saw Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video there was an outfit I kinda liked. Not for me or any other person, but I liked it. Near the end of the video she's wearing a red outfit with lace in it. That inspired me for these nails.

For my base color I used 3 coats of Color Club Coastal Creme and for my stamping I used a red stamping polish. I used Konad image plates m57 and m65.

On my thumb I used 2 coats of China Glaze Snow and painted the cross on with a brush. Just a little inspiration from the video ;p

I must say that also today I'm pretty happy with the end result :) I hope you liked it too!

Day 14: Flowers

I'm actually pretty excited about these flower nails! It reminds me of summer, beach, Hawaii, but also Bikini Bottom :P

I'm really not the person for freehand stuff, even though I do have to show my skills soon, so of course I stamped away! Again I used Konad image plate m57. Probably my favorite plate. I do have other plates with flowers, but these flowers were exactly what I needed.

For these nails I started off with 2 coats of Coastal Creme from Color Club. When that dried I sponged over it with Mint Cream from ELF for a gradient effect. Then I applied an O.P.I. topcoat. For the pink flowers I used Beautiful Girl from Sinful Colors and Sugar High from China Glaze. I didn't use a topcoat afterwards.

Day 13: Animal Print

Animal print. I always like seeing it on others, but on me... I don't know. I like to show stuff here and then I like it, but I would probably not go out the house with these nails ;p

Just like yesterday it turned out a bit different than planned, but that's okay. The colors I used were Pucci-Licious (purple), What A Drag (silver) and Warhol (pink), all from Color Club. For the black I used a black stamping polish.

  • Seche Vite base coat
  • 2 coats of Pucci-Licious, What A Drag and Warhol
  • Essence matte topcoat on Pucci-Licious and Warhol
  • Konad image plate m57
  • Silver stamping with What A Drag
  • Black stamping with black stamping polish
  • No topcoat

Day 4: Green Nails

Woah! I made it to day 4! :P Okay, just kidding. I'm still enjoying the challenge so far :) Surprisingly enough I do own some green polishes. For this day I wanted to stamp again, because it just makes it a bit less boring. I painted my nails with Sold Out Forever from Catrice and stamped over it with Jade Is Not My Name, also from Catrice.

Oh, yesterday my mom wanted me to go with her grocery shopping, because of the snow. She always buys more when I go with her. This time we also came home with a really cute big bunny... But I can't think of a name! Anyone here with a nice suggestion for him? :)

Rainbow Leopard Nails

Last night I was stalking blogs and came across Steffels. There I saw this manicure and I knew I wanted to try that out! So, today I did.

I painted my nails with China Glaze Snow, 2 coats and applied Poshé topcoat. When it was dry I grabbed Konad image plate m57 and Wet 'n Wild Fantasy Makers Black Magic. This one is great for stamping! I used to like to stamp with Color Club's Black, but that one would dry kinda fast and I just couldn't really stamp with it anymore.

With a dotting tool I made the little spots, but I don't really like the way it turned out. I didn't use the right color green. It doesn't fit with the bright colors. Also, some spots are way too round. Afterwards I used 'David' topcoat to make it shine.

And these last 2 pictures are just here, because I liked them for some reason :P

I hope you liked this manicure :)

Stamping: Red Tiger Nails

Since I wanted to do something more interesting than just swatching and because I got rid of the fake nails I decided to get out my Konad plates. I wanted to do something with red and since I got a lot of red polishes the past 2 weeks I knew there must be two in it for this manicure.

I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze's Ruby Deer which instantly became my favorite red. When my nail polish addiction started I saw a picture of a celebrity with short red nails and that was a perfect red. I always wanted to find that perfect red and here it is!

With the famous Konad image plate m57 I stamped over my nails with the tiger print. I used China Glaze's Sugar Plums for that. Sugar Plums would probably be too sheer if you would want to stamp over white, but I think it went well over Ruby Deer.

What do you think of my stamping skills? :P I think it went pretty well if I may say so xD
