Nail Art || Stripes

Hello! Another manicure from days ago and I believe I have a few more coming that are from days before :P But the other week I decided I had to do more than just slap on a coat of polish and go to work. I decided it was time to get out my striping tape and get taping!

I don't know how I came up with this color combination, but I liked it. The blue looks less dark than it actually was. You could actually barely tell the difference between the black and blue. Over the black I just had to put on Fairy Dust, since it makes every manicure better. Over the pink/purple I put on Kleancolor Chunky Holo Fuchsia.

As you can see I do not really master the tape as you can see on my pinky finger. Of course I applied a layer of topcoat after the tape, but sadly the next day the tape came off :( But I had fun for as long as it lasted :P

The blue polish is a blue polish from Hema, the black is just Black from Color Club, topped with China Glaze Fairy Dust. The pink/purple is Purple Crush from Orly.

I hope you're having a great weekend and I'll see you next time! :)

Swatch || Kleancolor Pastel Teal

Hello!

So 2 weeks ago I ordered this polish (along with Ozotic 509 and more). It's my first Kleancolor! I've been wanting some Kleancolors for a while and here is one to show.

Like the title may suggest this is a pastel teal. I find it pastel blue :P This one really reminds me of Catrice's Am I Blue Or Green? But this is more blue, more opaque and has a way better application. An application like butter! I'm wearing 2 coats in the pictures.

I found a blurry picture in the photo's I made for this swatch and I really like it! I don't know why... xD

For the Ozotic I payed a lot of money, but this one is nice and cheap. I payed € 3,50 for this one at prettypolish.nl :)

Swatch || Ozotic 509

A few days ago I got my first Ozotics and Kleancolors :) This is the first Ozotic I'm going to show you.

Ozotic 509 is a silver holographic and a little bit on the thick side. I was hoping this would be a nice topcoat as well, but it's a bit 'meh' for that. I couldn't really get one even thin stroke over another color.

With the first layer I thought I would need like 3 or maybe even 4 coats, but I only needed two. For this swatch I didn't wear a base and topcoat, because I was too excited to try this one out :P

Looking at the pictures of Glitter Gal Silver they don't really look that similar, but I wore that one over a pink polish. Maybe I'll compare the 2 someday.

I ordered Ozotic 509 from prettypolish.nl and I bought it for € 11,00.

Gradient || Orange To Pink

By accident I just found this gradient I did months ago! June 15th to be exact :P The only thing I remember from this manicure is that I was really proud of it and I wore it for days!

To be honest I have no idea what polishes I used... Looking at the spilled polish on the bottle I think this is Sugar High...

I wanted to see this gradient in a matte version and really liked that too. I have no idea what topcoat I used, but there are a lot of topcoats with this finish :)

I hope you liked my first real post after this long :)

Hello World!

Be prepared for a long, maybe not that interesting post. You may or may not have been wondering why there are no posts from me anymore. Well, it all started with a Mentos Mixed Fruit. I bought it, ate it and a tooth broke off. Smart as I was I didn't go to the dentist. It didn't hurt or anything. That was the stupidest thing I could do. Ever since I was little you could find me a lot at the dentist. It's a family condition that's really not my fault. Anyway, my tooth started to hurt and I had to have it pulled. About 2 months later I had to have another tooth pulled. It had the same problem, an infected filling.

Then it was the night of September 1st, a little before 4 am. I'm making it sound like I found out the world wasn't real and this is all a dream, but that's not it. I just went to bed when I felt the same pain as I did the other 2 times. Every time I felt this pain I was in denial, thinking it would be a cold coming up. This time I knew I should stop thinking that. On that Monday I went to the dentist and I got antibiotics. I still had to take a lot of Ibuprofen and/or Paracetamol. 2 weeks later I had to come back, last Monday, and I told him it didn't work and I still had to take other painkillers. He checked it and it all got worse. The root of that one tooth was severely infected and also a wisdom tooth was causing a lot of pain. They called the hospital that they had to remove those 2 ASAP. Wednesday was that day and it was kind of a bad experience, but I survived! :) I'm not blaming my dentist for all that happened, because he could just not see on the photo's how bad it was. It was all spreading really fast :( But I think I can finally say that after about 4 months I'm really PAIN FREE! :D Those past 4 months were kind of depressing I would say and I do feel much better now.

Obviously I neglected my blog so much, but I just couldn't do it. One problem I have had for a while now is that when I go to my blog, I can not see my followers. It says "We're sorry... This gadget is configured incorrectly. Webmaster hint: Please ensure that "Friend Connect Settings - Home URL" matches the URL of this site." I still haven't figured out how to fix this. I've tried a lot of things I found Googling, but nothing works and it's really frustrating! A few months ago I asked on Twitter if others saw that message too on my blog, but they didn't. Now I was looking on my blog on another account, and then I still see that message. I don't want to give up, but I'm telling you I did made another blog, kinda? :P Just a name and that's it. I hope somebody can help me out :) Oh, also IntenseDebate never worked for me anymore. But that happened a long time ago and I still want it back! xD

Anyway, if you made it through this long, long, long story I'm telling you now that I'll show you some pics from my Instagram from the times where I did do my nails (because I've been neglecting them for a really long time!) Plus a picture of my ombre hair, cause I'm kinda proud of it for some reason ;p

New Frankenpolishes

Yesterday I randomly decided to create a polish. While working on it I made 4 instead of 1 :P A few weeks ago there was a Dutch tv host wearing green jeans that looked so glowing. And I was like; I want a polish in that color! A week later she was wearing another jeans in orange, but it seemed from the same brand. Also never seen that color in a polish. So here are my Frankens.

This first one is a neon bubblegum pink. But I decided to name it Hot Flamingo :P I'm not good with how much I used of what polish, but it was about 3/5 Catrice Sweets For My Sweets, 1/5 China Glaze Shocking Pink and 1/5 Color Club Warhol. This is 2 coats and no topcoat.

This second one looks so much nicer in real life. It's lighter and looks glowing. I named this one Dancing On The Sun. It was half a bottle of Catrice Snow and I randomly put in China Glaze Sun Worshiper and China Glaze Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. I really love this one! This is 3 coats and no topcoat.

This 3rd one is my favorite and on Instagram it got a lot of likes :) I named it Don't Call Me Apple. Just like Dancing On The Sun it's really glowing and so pretty! I used half a bottle of China Glaze Snow and put in China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, China Glaze Sun Worshiper and Color Club Twiggie. This is 2 coats and no topcoat.

This last one isn't really what I hoped it would be, but I still like it, since I have nothing like it. Seriously. I named it As High As A Cloud. It's a beautiful sky blue. I used Rimmel London Sky High, Color Club Age Of Aquarius and another Color Club that I can't remember. This is 2 coats and no topcoat.

I hope to be frankening soon again, because I really like these!

What do you think of these and which one is your favorite? :)

Metallic Zebra Nails

You might think; I've seen these before. And I was thinking the same when I did these! And then I found out I already did these :P But this time I used different colors :)

As my base color I used Dance Baby from China Glaze's Electropop collection. A collection that I was not interested in at all. One day I was just like; what the heck? So I ordered it. I really don't have anything like it!

For the stamping I used China Glaze Emotion from the Romantic collection. I've been looking for a nice metallic pink, but this one isn't IT yet. I ordered Color Club Hot Like Lava and I hope that's an even nicer one!

The imageplate I used is m69 from Konad. I just love that zebra stamp, can't help it :P

One thing I wanted to know; I've had a message on my screen that my blog has malware on it or something and that it came from someone else's blog. Also when I just went to my dashboard the same message would pop up. If you still see that message coming on your screen please let me know on Twitter. But I hope it's fixed :)

Milani - Digital

Today I'm showing Digital. Digital is a dusty pink filled with holographic glitter. Everytime I looked at the bottle I didn't expect it to be this holographic. Even without sunlight or a lamp shining on your nails it's really holographic. I almost got away with 1 coat, but did need two. I love this one!

And yesterday I got my tooth pulled. I've had my wisdom tooth pulled like 2 years ago and I had no pain afterwards. This time it does hurt a bit. Like an annoying kind of pain. I actually don't know if it's my (missing) tooth that hurts or my cheek xD

China Glaze - Love's A Beach

I'm showing you Love's A Beach from China Glaze's Summer Neons collection. I wasn't really liking the polishes because of the shimmers, but I decided to get some of them anyway. LOVE them! This picture is taken after a day of wear so I'm sorry for the tipwear.

Love's A Beach is a neon pink and opaque in just 1 coat. It has a nice shimmer in it, but it's not purple like the picture shows. It's more of a light pink shimmer. The wear time of this is great too, because I wore it for 2,5 days and no chips, while my polish usually chips really quick.

Tropical Gradient

A few weeks ago it was very hot in the country. As much as I hate hot weather, I do like that I can wear my bright polishes. I first wanted to make rainbow nails, but I didn't have the right color green, so I went for this tropical gradient.

I started with 2 coats of a white polish to make the neons pop even more. With a make-up sponge I made the gradient. For the pink I either used Color Club Warhol OR China Glaze Pool Party, for the orange Color Club Wham! Pow! and for the yellow Color Club Almost Famous.

Sadly, this blurry picture was the best my camera could get. If you have these polishes yourself you should definitely try this one out to see how awesome it looks in real life :)

Blue Ombre Nails

Today I have another blue manicure for you. I did a blue ombre today, because I had to go somewhere quickly today, so went for this simple thing. I've done blue ombre nails once before, I've done a pink ombre once before and I've done ombre paint drips.

From pinky to thumb I used Color Club Chelsea Girl, Sinful Colors Why Not?, Orly Blue Collar, China Glaze Bahamian Escape and Essie Borrowed & Blue.

Chelsea Girl is pretty much the same as China Glaze Ride The Waves. It felt like 3/4 jelly and 1/4 creme :P If you had to pick between these two colors go for Ride The Waves. Here I used 3 coats of Chelsea Girl and it's still not opaque.

Jelly Sandwich - Blue Waves

Well hello blog world. I haven't seen you in a while. Well, you haven't seen me for a while. Just busy, doing my thing. But, I have a week off now and I hope that one thing I'll be doing this week is blogging. Or at least try to make mani's for my blog :)

So today I'm back with a Jelly Sandwich! I love to do these, even though I don't have a lot of jelly polishes. I added a new jelly to my collection this week and decided a Jelly Sandwich had to be made.

I'm wearing 2 coats of China Glaze Ride The Waves from the Summer Neons collection. A royal blue jelly. Then I went over with one coat of Essence Blue Addicted and another coat of Ride The Waves. The sandwich is completed! :)

What do you think of this Jelly Sandwich? Let me know!

Instagram Pictures #3 & #4

I didn't post it the other week, so I put 2 weeks together. I'm sorry for the lack of posts again. I'm making long days at work and then I don't even bother getting on my laptop. Also, yesterday 1 of my dogs died. 3 days ago I post a picture on Instagram saying I thought he might die soon and yesterday he did die :(

Rimmel London Misty Jade. A gorgeous jelly!

This is from 2 weeks ago. I had to go to the hospital and parked my scooter somewhere where you can't do that. I parked it next to a pole covered in stickers saying when you park your bike wrong it means your bike is gone. I didn't notice that sticker until I came back. So this sticker is a warning!

Catrice Month: Salmon & Garfunkel

Hello! Today I'm showing Salmon & Garfunkel. Don't let the name of this polish fool you, because it's not a salmon color. It's more a peachy orange. A very cute color to me although I don't know if it looks that great on me with my skintone.

Salmon & Garfunkel may look like Catrice's Apropos Apricot, but that one is more brown/orange. Unlike most polishes with the new brush from Catrice this one applied so much more better than other new ones from Catrice. It was opaque in 2 coats.

So, what do you think of Salmon & Garfunkel? :)

Thanks for reading :)

Catrice Month: Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans

My nails are short again! My nails started growing and growing and they were actually strong and not breaking. A dream came true! But I decided that I don't like long nails on me, so I filed them down a few days ago :)

But Today I'm showing you a discontinued polish that got undiscontinued :P I'm glad it came back, because I once saw a swatch of Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans and then found out it had dark blue glitter in it. That's when I knew I needed it. Not needed, but just had to have it.

Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans is a jeans blue polish with blue glitters in it. Those glitters are hardly noticeable in the bottle, but do come out on the nail. It applies easy and 2 coats is needed for opacity.

To be honest I don't like it that much. This is just not my color. I'm more of a baby blue, blue/green, teal kind of girl. Can't get enough of those! :)

Thanks for reading :)

Catrice Month: Blue Cara Ciao

Guess who's back? Me! :P I haven't gone anywhere though. After my last post I got busier than expected and didn't turn my laptop on for 3 or 4 days :O That's a personal record for me. I wanted to post yesterday, but not posting one more day doesn't kill anymore.

And something I feel like sharing; I overslept this morning! That's like the 3rd time in my life (high school not included :P) I'm not sure if I woke up after my alarm went off... I know I turn it off in my sleep sometimes, but I always automatically wake up at like 6 am, even when I can sleep in.

So, I'm back again with a Catrice swatch. I was confused the other week when i wanted to post this. I thought this was Pool Party At Night... Obviously it isn't. This is a deep bright blue color that really pops. It's the kind of blue I used for water when coloring in kindergarten xD The picture isn't color accurate. The color is a bit darker in real life.

2 coats, no base- & topcoat

Glitter Gal - Silver

I feel like saying 'yo', so here I go; Yo! How are you doing today? I'm exhausted and I feel like it's Thursday... How can a day feel like a specific day?

Anyway, as you can see no Catrice today :O I made a few swatches the other day and only had one left to post today. I kept thinking; Which one is this? And then I realized it was Pool Party At Night... xD

So here is Glitter Gal Silver. Not really a great name, but it IS such an amazing polish! It's the most holographic thing I've ever seen. When deciding on which Glitter Gal I would get I decided to go for this one, because I thought it might work as a nice holographic topcoat. It's not a nice topcoat. It's to streaky to add a coat over a polish and when you apply 2 coats you don't see the polish color anymore.

On the pictures I added 2 coats of Silver over 2 coats of Something Sweet from China Glaze.

My mom really likes this one too and she wants me to order a bottle for her too. I bought it at enchantra.com for € 8,96 which was with a 25% discount. Usually they're € 11,95, which is pretty expensive, but I think it's really worth it :)

Catrice Month: I Wear My Sunglasses At Night

We're a week into this Catrice Month! Yay! :)

I'm showing you I Wear My Sunglasses At Night today. A black polish with green and red glitters in it. If you ask me; one of the unique polishes Catrice made.

It's opaque in 2 coats. Formula was great again, like usual. I felt like it got a little bit thicker than it used to be, but not super thick. The polish dries really quick and needs a top coat for some shine.

Sadly this polish got discontinued, but maybe they bring it back sometime :)

Catrice Month: Raspberry Fields Forever

Today I'm showing Raspberry Fields Forever. For me it's hard to see what the color really looks like, but to me it's a pink/red color. Depending on the lighting it's pink or red and sometimes pink and red.

The application was wonderful again. It felt thin, but not watery. One coat will be fine when you have short nails, but 2 coats are required for longer nails. I didn't use a base- and topcoat again, but on the picture it looks like I have a matte index finger. It's really not, but now you can get an idea of what it would look like matte though :P

Above my cat Spot again and below Essie Tart Deco. I wore it for Queensday :)

Catrice Month: Jade Is Not My Name

Today I'm showing you Jade Is Not My Name. Earlier Catrice came out with I Sea You!, which looks exactly the same, but to me it is slightly different.

Jade Is Not My Name is a beautiful jade green. Just like the previous polishes it was easy to apply and was opaque in 2 coats. Sadly it's discontinued and I was happy when I got Jenn from AllThatIsGorgeous a bottle, but the bottle broke on it's way :(

I hope that when Catrice comes with a new collection they come with polishes like this again. Pool Party At Night is also like this; A nice creme, not too light of a color and just simple but pretty. When they came out with the collection that is out now I was kind of disappointed, even though I got almost all of it already :P

Thanks for reading :)

Catrice Month: Heavy Metallilac

Happy Friday! :D Today I'm showing you Heavy Metallilac. A purple metallic. Or a lilac metallic. Whatever you prefer :P

I bought this one a few days ago, because I wanted to see if you could stamp with it. Guess what? I haven't tested it out yet. But I really don't like this one. I'm not into metallic polishes and I don't like some purples on me. Some make my hands look cold.

I don't think you can see it that well, but I think there is like an orange shimmer or something like that in it. This polish covers pretty well in 1 coat, but it's too sheer to wear just one coat, but two is perfectly fine. It's not as streaky as the pictures show.

Oh, I just noticed that this is my 100th post! :D

Thanks for reading :)

Catrice Month: Pool Party At Night

Welcome to day 3! This is Pool Party At Night. A B-E-A-utiful blue. I find that on the picture it looks like it has a hint of purple in it, but I don't find that it has that hint in real life too.

I don't think Catrice came out with a lot of blue polishes ever since I started hoarding them :P Just like Dirty Berry it applied so well and 2 coats was enough. You can get away with 1 thicker coat though, but I always prefer 2 thinner coats.

I didn't use a base- and topcoat for this swatch.

Are there any Catrice polishes that you want to see swatched here? If I have it, I'd love to swatch it!

Thanks for reading :)

Catrice Month: Dirty Berry

For day 2 of the Catrice Month I have Dirty Berry to show you. It's supposed to be a holographic polish, but it's not really noticeable in real life. It's still a berry nice polish though :)

The application of this one was really nice. The polish wasn't too thick or thin (even though it's a really old polish) and it dried pretty quickly. 2 coats were needed for opacity. For this swatch I didn't use a base- and topcoat.

I didn't mention it in yesterday's post, but this polish is still available. I think when Catrice will come with a new collection Dirty Berry might get discontinued. So get it while you can! :)

Thanks for reading :)
